Bradman Best denies receiving $4 million offer from Knights

Bradman Best has denied receiving a four-year, $4 million offer from Newcastle, saying he doesn't know where the reported figure came from. The Knights are understood to have not moved from their initial offer of around $800,000 a season, which is below what he could command on the open market, while Parramatta are preparing a deal that could make him the highest-paid centre in the game. Best said he remains loyal to the Knights and coach Justin Holbrook and wants to give them the first chance to keep him, but his young family will be a key factor. He has multiple meetings lined up once he leaves Kangaroos camp after the World Cup.
