Storm lock in Sua Fa'alogo, Eels frontrunners for Bradman Best as market opening nears
With the November 1 market opening on Sunday, clubs are busy locking in players and lining up targets. Melbourne have secured fullback Sua Fa'alogo, who has agreed to terms on a deal until the end of 2032. Manly have extended utility Brandon Wakeham for two years after a career-best season at hooker, and the Perth Bears have signed outside back Blake Wilson on a one-year deal for 2027. The Dolphins are closing in on a multi-year extension for Connelly Lemuelu and are confident of keeping Herbie Farnworth, though prop Tom Flegler is leaning towards leaving after 2027. Parramatta's Jordan Samrani will test the open market, while the Eels have emerged as frontrunners for Knights centre Bradman Best. North Queensland remain hopeful of retaining Jeremiah Nanai, and Canterbury are unlikely to pursue Sam Walker. At the Wests Tigers, Tristan Hope is set to depart, while talks continue with Heath Mason and the club is keen to keep Tony Sukkar.
