Tom Dearden shuts down Sam Walker swap rumour and reaffirms Cowboys commitment
Tom Dearden has reaffirmed his commitment to North Queensland and ruled out any chance of a swap deal involving Roosters halfback Sam Walker. Dearden said the speculation had been frustrating for Cowboys fans. A clause in his contract could make him one of the NRL's highest-paid players, at $1.8 million a season from 2028. He also said the Kangaroos squad was backing Walker through his own contract situation.
