Knights appoint agent Anthony Field as head of recruitment to replace Peter O'Sullivan
Newcastle have appointed player agent Anthony Field as their new head of recruitment, replacing Broncos-bound Peter O'Sullivan. Field, who previously worked in recruitment at Parramatta before spending five years at Ignite Sports, will start once his agent accreditation ends, ahead of a crucial November 1 period with Bradman Best, Jacob Saifiti and Mat Croker set to hit the market. His departure has sparked a scramble among rival agents for clients including Ethan Sanders, Cooper Bai, Charlie Guymer, Toby Winter and Fletcher Sharpe, who have a week to decide whether to stay with Ignite. Separately, leading agents Sam Ayoub and Mark Stewart are in talks to combine their agencies, with a key meeting set for Monday.
