Roosters bring back Sam Verrills on one-year development deal
Sam Verrills has rejoined the Roosters on an $80,000 one-year development deal, filling the gap left by Connor Watson's move to the Dragons. Verrills began his career at the Roosters, scoring a try in their 2019 grand final win, before spending four seasons at the Titans. A potential move to St Helens fell through, opening the door for his return to Bondi, where he will provide back-up for premiership-winning hooker Reece Robson. The Roosters plan to upgrade him to a full-time contract midway through next season.
