Raiders let Hudson Young visit PNG Chiefs before free agency
Canberra have allowed Hudson Young to visit the PNG Chiefs in Port Moresby before he becomes a free agent on November 1. The Raiders have tabled a four-year deal worth $4.4 million and there is growing confidence the NSW Origin back-rower will stay, with Young telling teammates he wants to re-sign. PNG have re-emerged as suitors after the NRL agreed to allow challenges to its market valuations, having initially blocked the Chiefs' $900,000-a-season offer. Young's agent Sam Ayoub said the trip was simply about weighing up options. The Chiefs are also set to host St Helens-bound halfback Sean O'Sullivan as a potential depth signing.
