Kalyn Ponga to have surgery on broken arm after Kiwis' World Cup opener
Kalyn Ponga will have surgery on Friday after breaking the radius bone in his left arm during New Zealand's World Cup opening loss to Australia. The Kiwis and Knights fullback played on for around 20 minutes with the injury before leaving the field late in the game. Team doctor Greg Macleod said Ponga would remain in camp for now after the operation. Losing one of their best players is a major setback for the Kiwis' tournament hopes.
