Raiders extend Rookie of the Year Ethan Sanders until 2028

Canberra have extended halfback Ethan Sanders for a further year, securing the Rookie of the Year before he became free to negotiate with rival clubs on November 1. Sanders, who joined the Raiders from Parramatta, took over the No.7 jersey from Jamal Fogarty this season. Despite Canberra's disappointing year and the impressive debut of Coby Black, coach Ricky Stuart has stuck with Sanders, who said he wants to repay the club's faith in him.
