V'landys backs Mal Meninga after Bears CEO's sudden exit
ARLC chairman Peter V'landys has backed Perth Bears coach Mal Meninga and dismissed reports of tension between him and assistant coach Ben Gardiner, saying both told him the issue had been blown out of proportion. His comments follow the sudden departure of chief executive Anthony De Ceglie after less than 18 months in the role. Football general manager Gareth Holmes will take on the CEO's responsibilities in the interim, with V'landys saying the club's board will decide on a permanent replacement.
