Broncos land Peter O'Sullivan as recruitment boss on record $2.5m five-year deal

Peter O'Sullivan has left Newcastle to become Brisbane's recruitment boss, agreeing to a five-year deal worth $2.5 million after turning down Parramatta. The contract, worth $500,000 a season, is the most lucrative ever offered to an NRL recruitment chief and well above the roughly $350,000 package he was on at the Knights. Newcastle had him contracted until 2029 but agreed to release him rather than enter a bidding war. O'Sullivan, who has signed stars including Greg Inglis, Latrell Mitchell and Reece Walsh and built much of the Dolphins' roster, will start at the Broncos in 2027 and oversee their NRL squad and top 30 list management alongside coach Michael Maguire. He also masterminded Dylan Brown's move to Newcastle on a 10-year, $14 million deal.
