Kangaroos and Tonga both claim Robert Toia ahead of World Cup

Robert Toia has been caught in an international tug-of-war ahead of the World Cup, with officials from both the Kangaroos and Tonga believing the Roosters centre has committed to them. Toia is eligible for both nations and has previously played for Tonga, but Australia are keen to pick him as a starting centre when their squad is named on Monday. Elsewhere, Dylan Edwards has been ruled out of the tournament with a knee injury requiring surgery, opening the door for James Tedesco to return alongside Reece Walsh.
