Connor Watson to undergo independent assessment ahead of Grand Final

Connor Watson will undergo an independent neurological assessment on Thursday as he bids to be cleared for Sunday's NRL Grand Final. Watson is understood to be symptom-free and tracking well after being ruled out of last Friday's preliminary final with a Category 1 concussion, and the Roosters are growing increasingly optimistic he will be cleared to face his former club Newcastle.
