Details emerge of Nathan Cleary's horror ankle injury
Nathan Cleary suffered a double compound fracture in his ankle, with bone protruding through the skin, and Penrith staff helped paramedics keep his leg straight to protect the blood supply to his foot. He now faces up to six months on the sidelines. Cleary had also gone into the game with a broken fifth metatarsal in his right foot, which will need surgery. Blaize Talagi is facing up to six months out with a ruptured Achilles, while Dylan Edwards will have scans later this week to determine the extent of his PCL injury and whether he needs surgery.
