Tonga signs new deal with Dragons through 2029

Lolo Pasifiki Tonga has signed a new deal with the Dragons through the end of 2029, including an option allowing him to leave the club if Dean Young is no longer coach — a clause he requested during contract talks last month. The 21-year-old signed less than a fortnight after Young was confirmed as permanent head coach, having earlier requested a release after limited NRL opportunities, before becoming a key part of Young's forward pack following the coaching change from Shane Flanagan.
