Reynolds' reference helped Raiders sign record-breaking debutant Black

Adam Reynolds played a key role in Canberra signing Coby Black, giving the Raiders a strong character reference on the young playmaker. Black repaid the faith with a historic debut, scoring 26 points in a 50-30 win over North Queensland — the most points by an NRL debutant in the competition's 118-year history. Raiders CEO Don Furner credited Reynolds directly for the signing.
