V'landys dismisses set-restart concerns ahead of finals

NRL boss Peter V'landys has rejected concerns from players including James Tedesco and Tom Dearden that inconsistent ruck infringements could influence a finals result. Set restarts have risen to 8.4 per game over the past four rounds, up from 6.5 across Rounds 14-23, though the NRL maintains ruck speed has stayed steady at 3.5 seconds. The current rules will remain in place for 2027.
