PNG Chiefs pause Hudson Young pursuit

PNG Chiefs have paused their pursuit of Hudson Young after being told their proposed deal is unlikely to be registered at his market value. Canberra have offered Young $3.3m over three years, around $1.1m per season, while PNG had budgeted a maximum of about $950k a year. The Chiefs have put talks on hold until November 1, when Young enters regular free agency.
